FREYR inks 28.5 GWh offtake deal with Powin
Norway’s FREYR Battery announced Tuesday a conditional battery cell offtake agreement with US-based battery storage system developer Powin, Kallanish reports.
The undisclosed deal covers the delivery of 28.5 gigawatt-hours of cells from 2024 through 2030. Initially, the cells will be supplied from FREYR’s combined Gigafactory 1 & 2 in Mo i Rana, Norway. Later, they will come from a planned US gigafactory.
