Foxconn begins EV battery plant construction in Kaohsiung
Taiwan-listed Hon Hai Precision Industry (Foxconn), a company traditionally known as a giant electronics assembler, has recently made a firm step towards forming its own "new energy industrial chain" by starting the construction of its battery R&D and trial production centre. The facilities are at Hofa Industrial Park in Kaohsiung City, southern Taiwan.
Foxconn plans to invest about TWD 6 billion ($201.19 million) in the trial production centre.…
