Ford starts mass production at EV-dedicated plant in Germany
Ford of Europe has started production of its Ford Explorer all-electric vehicle (BEV) in Cologne, Germany following a $2 billion investment, Kallanish reports.
The new SUV rolled off production lines at the Ford Cologne Electric Vehicle Center earlier this month. A second model – a new sports crossover – will be announced shortly, ahead of mass production within this year, the carmaker says.
