First Phosphate eyes LFP tech licence from Ultion Technologies
Quebec-based mineral developer First Phosphate intends to acquire a technology licence from Nevada-based Ultion Technologies to produce its lithium iron phosphate (LFP) cathode active material (CAM).
The move is part of the company’s ambition to develop a vertically integrated operation to supply the North American LFP battery producers. It owns over 1,500 square kilometres of land claims in the Saguenay-Lac-St-Jean region of Quebec, Canada.
