Europe reaches provisional agreement on Climate Law
The European Commission announced on Wednesday a provisional agreement on the European Climate Law, which makes the 2050 carbon neutrality pledge a binding commitment.
“I am delighted that we have reached an agreement on this core element of the European Green Deal. Our political commitment to becoming the first climate neutral continent by 2050 is now also a legal commitment,” says EC President Ursula von der Leyen.
