EU agrees on road charging incentives for cleaner trucks
The European Council announced Wednesday it has closed an agreement with European lawmakers to revise road charging rules under the so-called Eurovignette directive, incentivising greener transport.
From 2023, emission-free trucks will get at least 50% discount on road tolls by April 2023, while fossil-fuel trucks will be charged based on their CO2 emissions and air pollution, Kallanish reports.
