EC clears another €350m in German hydrogen state aid
The European Commission’s competition boss Margrethe Vestager approved on Friday a €350 million ($379.4m) German state aid scheme to support electrolysis capacity in the country.
The aid will be provided as direct grant per kilogram of renewable hydrogen produced, using the European Hydrogen Bank’s Auction-as-a-service tool. The EU expects the funding to support 90 megawatts of electrolysis capacity, enabling the production of 75,000 tonnes/year …
