DOE to provide $60m for 24 clean-vehicle projects
General Motors is getting $2.5 million from the US Department of Energy to fund research on high-voltage organosulfur-based next-gen electrolytes in lithium-ion batteries, Kallanish reports.
It is one of 24 projects that will get $60m from DOE to promote zero-emissions vehicles with improved battery and EV technologies, new mobility systems and cutting vehicle weight to reduce carbon dioxide pollution.
