DOE bolsters US long-duration energy storage with $325m funding
The US government announced Friday that it will use funding from the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law to invest in long-duration energy storage (LDES) technology.
Up to $325 million has been made available for 15 projects across 17 states and one tribal nation, according to the Department of Energy. Selected projects include a range of intraday (10-36 hours) and multiday (36-160 hours) storage solutions that could help mitigate power interruptions.
