DOE awards grants for clean hydrogen through co-gasification
The US Department of Energy has awarded $2 million for four research and development projects to produce clean hydrogen through co-gasification technologies using coal, plastics and biomass, Kallanish reports.
The grants went to Auburn University, Auburn, Alabama; the Electric Power Research Institute, Palo Alto, California; the University of Kentucky Research Foundation, Lexington, Kentucky; and the University of Utah, Salt Lake City, Utah.
