DOE awards $1.3m to New Mexico geologic hydrogen project
The US government has awarded $1.3 million to a New Mexico university to study the production of geologic hydrogen, which is also known as natural hydrogen.
The New Mexico Institute of Mining and Technology, collaborating with Los Alamos National Laboratory, will develop a method to boost the production rate of stimulated hydrogen by promoting hierarchical cracks in reactant rock formations.
