Daimler’s Torc picks Amazon for self-driving truck cloud
Daimler Truck AG’s subsidiary, Torc Robotics, has picked Amazon as its preferred cloud provider to handle data from its next-generation self-driving test trucks, Kallanish reports from the German manufacturer.
Torc Robotics is responsible for commercialising a Level 4 autonomous system that will be offered to trucking customers. It’s carrying out tests in New Mexico and Virginia, with engineering teams analysing the data both in the US and Germany.
