COPPER: Trump administration to approve Arizona land swap
US President Donald Trump’s administration is expected to approve a controversial land swap to permit a major copper mine in Arizona before he leaves office on 20 January, Kallanish reports.
The Forest Service is scheduled to release a final Environmental Impact Statement on Resolution Copper Mining LLC’s planned copper-molybdenum mine on land considered sacred by Apaches on 15 January, only five days before president-elect Joe Biden takes office.
