COPPER: Pebble mine in Alaska preparing appeal of USACE rejection
Northern Dynasty Minerals and subsidiary Pebble Limited Partnership say they are preparing an appeal to the US Army Corps of Engineers after that federal agency rejected the planned Pebble copper-gold-molybdenum-silver-rhenium mine in southwest Alaska, Kallanish reports.
The companies have 60 days to appeal the 25 November rejection to the Corps of Engineers’ regional office in Hawaii.
