COPPER: Full production delayed at Pumpkin Hollow mine in Nevada
Nevada Copper Corp says steady production of 5,000 tonnes/day of ore at the Pumpkin Hollow underground copper mine in western Nevada will be postponed from mid-year 2021 to the third quarter, Kallanish reports.
That is due to a series of mechanical issues in shaft commissioning/hoisting and other mine issues, the company says. Average hoisting rates in February were about 1,600 t/d, compared to the planned rates of 3,000 t/d, it says. Retrofitting steps to correct…
