COPPER: Anglo American posts 5% output rise on strong Chilean performance
Anglo American saw its copper production increase 5% year-on-year during the first half of the year, thanks to strong plant performance at its Chilean operations.
The miner reported copper output of 330,000 tonnes in H1, up by 17,000 t. The increase was due to a 9% rise in volumes at Los Bronces, with production reaching 163,000 t. The Collahuasi operation delivered a production growth of 3% y-o-y at 145,900 t.
