COBALT: First Cobalt joins Critical Materials Institute
Toronto’s First Cobalt has joined the Critical Materials Institute as part of its bid to become “a globally competitive player in the North American electric vehicle supply chain,” Kallanish gleans from a company release.
The Critical Materials Institute was created in 2013 and serves as a US Department of Energy innovation hub, led by the Ames National Laboratory. Cobalt was added to the US’ list of critical materials in 2017.
