Chinese NEV sales slip in April, exports more than double
China’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sales cooled down in April compared to March, but exports more than doubled, data from the China Association of Automobiles Manufacturers (CAAM) shows.
The government-backed association says NEV sales last month dropped 9.1% on-month to 193,000 units, of which 158,000 were battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and 35,000 were plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs). Yet, the figure represents 198.1% growth compared to April 2020…
