China’s Chery to build EV plant in Barcelona
Chinese state-owned carmaker Chery will invest in electric vehicle production in Spain through a joint venture with local manufacturer Ebro, Kallanish reports.
The Catalonian government announced on Tuesday the companies signed a joint venture agreement to invest in a plant in the Barcelona free zone area. The plant will be built at the former Nissan site, according to Roger Torrent, the Catalan regional minister for business.
