China’s Baidu, Geely to produce intelligent EVs
China’s leading search engine and artificial intelligence (AI) firm, Baidu, said on Monday it will produce smart electric vehicles through a partnership with automaker Geely, Kallanish reports.
Under the strategic deal, Baidu will provide intelligent driving capabilities to power the passenger vehicles for the new venture. Geely, which owns Volvo and Geely brands in China and abroad, will contribute its expertise in automobile design and manufacturing.
