China targets up to 25% domestic chip content in vehicles
China’s Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) has suggested that leading Chinese automakers raise their domestic vehicle-related chip procurement rate to 20-25% by 2025, according to Nikkei Asia.
The automakers include BYD, SAIC, Dongfeng, GAC, and FAW, Kallanish understands.
