Chile’s SQM targets $1.1 billion capital raise
Sociedad Química y Minera de Chile (SQM) is seeking to raise up to $1.1 billion in capital through the issuance of up to 22.4 million Series B shares of common stock, Kallanish reports.
The company says the capital increase will need to be approved by shareholders in an extraordinary meeting on 22 January. Once approved, the funds will finance part of the company’s $1.9 billion investment plan for the 2021-2024 period, most of which is in lithium.
