Catalina Resources gets exploration licence for Laverton

Australian miner Catalina Resources has been granted exploration licences (E38/3697 and E38/3698) in the Laverton district of Western Australia, Kallanish learns.  The firm says in a statement that the region hosts several world-class deposits of nickel, gold and rare earth elements (REE). These include Sunrise Dam, Wallaby and Windara Nickel with a combined 85,000 tonnes of nickel sulphide. The Mt Weld REE deposit is 54.7 million t at 5.3% total rare earth …
