Carmaker fined over misleading Made-in-Italy advertising
Italian carmaker DR Automobiles has been fined €6 million ($6.4m) by Italy’s Antitrust Authority (AGCM) over misleading advertising on the use of Chinese parts.
The company is based in Molise, a southern region of Italy, and has another four plants across China in Wuhu, Dalian, Hefei and Beijing. It partners with Chinese carmakers such as Chery, JAC and BAIC to import parts and assemble the final product in Italy.
