Canada Nickel acquires past-producing Texmont mine in Ontario
Canada Nickel is purchasing the past-producing Texmont nickel mine south of Timmons, Ontario, Kallanish reports.
The purchase provides the Ontario-based mining company with the potential for near-term open-pit production from near-surface high-grade mineralisation at Texmont, it says. The old mine that operated in 1971-1972 is situated between the company’s regional Deloro and Sothman properties as the company expands its regional exploration programme.
