Canada mulls tariffs on Chinese-made EVs
Canada will launch a public consultation on whether to apply tariffs on China-made EVs, Kallanish reports.
The 30-day consultation announced by the Canadian finance department will start on 2 July. It comes after the US imposed 100% import tariffs on Chinese EVs and certain hybrids from 1 August, and the EU’s plans to apply provisional anti-subsidy duties on China-made BEVs on 4 July.
