BYD’s NEV sales reach 1.86m units in 2022
The world’s largest new energy vehicle (NEV) manufacturer BYD saw its sales more than double last year to a total of 1.86 million NEVs globally, Kallanish learns from the company.
The Chinese carmaker says its NEV sales, which cover plug-in hybrid and battery electric cars, grew 152.5% in 2022 and 137.3% in December, when 235,197 units were sold. Of that, 946,239 were PHEVs and 911,140 were BEVs.
