Bulgaria’s EV sales double ahead of proposed subsidies
The number of electric vehicles on Bulgarian roads has more than doubled in less than a year, according to domestic Traffic Police registration data.
As of 1 December, the southeastern country had 10,951 EVs in circulation, which is 144% higher than the same period last year, Kallanish notes. The growth comes amid a limited charging infrastructure – with 1,574 public charging points – and nearly no purchase incentives.
