Britishvolt orders next-stage equipment for UK gigafactory
UK battery start-up Britishvolt has placed a follow-up order for cell assembly equipment with Manz AG, the German engineering company announced on Thursday.
The new contract valued at around €20 million ($21.8m) follows the order for the first expansion stage of a production line. Delivery of the equipment, which will produce cylindrical cells for EV batteries, is set for 2023, with first production on track for late that year.
