Anglo American to invest up to $500m on technology projects
Anglo American is spending between $200-500 million per year on technologies programmes over the next three years to reduce the carbon footprint of its mining operations, Kallanish reports.
The investment supports its FutureSmart Mining programme, covering its portfolio including copper and nickel projects. As part of the programme, Anglo is introducing hydrogen mine haul trucks and associated renewables infrastructure across its operations.
