Anglo American reports 42% third-quarter copper production growth
British mining company Anglo American reported a 42% increase in copper production during the third quarter, with production rising to 209,100 tonnes from 147,000 t during the same period last year.
Underpinned by the ramp-up at its Quellaveco copper mine in Peru, Anglo American's copper production increased to 596,000 t in the first nine months of this year, from 420,000 t previously, Kallanish learns from the firm’s production report released Tuesday.
