Alstom to deliver 1st hydrogen train to Italy by 2023
Paris-based rail technology manufacturer Alstom is to deliver the first cache of hydrogen-powered trains to Italy, Kallanish reports.
Alstom will supply six hydrogen fuel cell trains, with the option for eight more, to FNM (Ferrovie Nord Milano) -- the main transport and mobility group in the Italian region of Lombardy. The agreement is valued at €160 million ($191.5m) with the first train delivery expected within 36 months.
