Albemarle to double capacity at its Australian lithium refinery
Albemarle is adding two additional processing trains at its Kemerton lithium refinery in Western Australia, doubling its lithium hydroxide production in the country, Kallanish reports.
The capacity expansion to 100,000 tonnes/year will support production of 2.4 million electric vehicles and make Albemarle the largest producer of lithium in Australia.
