ABB increases control in China’s Chargedot
Swiss technology company ABB is ramping up fiscal control of its Chinese EV charger subsidiary, Chargedot, strengthening its position in a booming market, Kallanish reports.
It said Monday it increased its 67% stake to 80%, with partner SAIC Anyo Charging Technology Co retaining 20%. The undisclosed transaction is part of ABB's e-mobility growth strategy and follows a 30% compound annual growth rate from market sales during 2019-2021.
